Today I want to talk about narcissism and self-esteem. 

This topics came to me after a recent exchange that I had with a, now ex, connection on Facebook that resulted in me being blocked by this person (we’ll call it Fred), after some choice, if somewhat impotent, words on Fred’s behalf. This is by no means a big loss to me or Fred. I think we mainly knew each other through common connections, and Fred probably only added me initially as an attempt to broaden Fred’s audience, or sphere of influence.

Today I am going to be elaborating on one of the reasons that I tend to recommend that we are careful of labels that health professionals want to assign patients or clients as diagnoses. You may have read in previous blogs where I mention a caution to labels even about IQ and the label of giftedness, but I have not really elaborated on why I caution. In this blog I will talk about that a little bit more.

Today we are talking about why having a high IQ is almost meaningless and you should stop worrying about it.

These are some tips for weight loss that have their basis in neurology and psychology. More than weigh loss, they focus on taking the edge off the craving that many of us get in relation to food and eating and help put control back into our conscious mind.
